The Book of Palms

It is nighttime now, the first time I have had a chance to do something for myself today. I have completed my new book, The Book of Palms, which took the last six years of my life to complete. I decided long ago to publish this first book myself because in this climate I knew the only way to have what I really wanted was to do it all myself which included paying for it. I have never taken on a project this large and it changed my life. In a very good way it changed.

On September 9th at 6PM, I will do the first book-signing at the Rio Grill in Carmel California. My favorite restaurant in Carmel. I eat there almost every day. In honesty, the book will not be ready for the opening but the binder in New Mexico has promised a few books in time for the opening. I hope so. One funny aside--- The book is being bound in Roswell New Mexico where the aliens crashed years ago. Seems very, very fitting the book is being worked on there! Give me a good laugh. I will post more as the time comes closer. Meanwhile, here is the cover of the book.

In the next writing I will describe what I would enjoy doing with this chance to connect with the wider world. It is a very exciting idea for me!

This is the first and I am still learning! So bare with me on this and we can start a dialogue which might be helpful to us all. I would like to hear from you and your comments on Photogrpahy and its meaning to you and anything you might have to say about the site, what you like or don't like and what you might want to see more of. I will be posting short essays I have written and invite you to comment on what I have written.
